They believe that from the beginning of the official Roman Catholic Church in the 4th century until 1906 there were no Christians on earth. They call themselves apostolics as if they have the same authority as Peter, James, and John.
Sounds like Mormons. Although at least they date back to the 19th century. And Peter, James, and John? Psh, too modern. Their apostolic authority is derived from Aaron and Melchizedek (OT).

I wouldn’t expect any different. You’re being consistent with your natural human state.

Well, I am a natural human.

What continues to baffle me is it's easy to travel around the world (which I have) and see the enormous influence culture plays on one's religious beliefs. However, almost everyone thinks the religion of their culture and/or upbringing is the right one without question. Few are ever willing to concede even the possibility that they may be deluding themselves when clearly most (if not all) are.

However, Christianity is a reasonable faith.

There's nothing remotely reasonable about thinking people lived to be almost a thousand frickin' years old, walked on water, gathered up every species on Earth and put them on a boat, etc.
