If that concerned you’d have probably taken a clearer picture

Don't take a chance. I procrastinated for several months having a spot on my upper arm checked. Ended up having a chunk of flesh 1.5 by 1 inch cut out. Now I get checked every 3 or 4 months.
Basal cell carcinoma is common and easily treatable if caught early enough. I almost waited too long.

Is that on the edge of your vagina?

That’s not true. Skin cancer can be in any shape. From what I can see I would say it’s not a melanoma because I don’t see any dark pigmentation in it. If it’s something new I would go and get a biopsy on it. I’ve had 14 melanomas removed since 1982. All were in different stages from just having it removed and also one that I caught to late and had to have chemo. Also countless numbers of other types of skin cancer.

Looks similar to skin cancer my wife had 2 years ago. No joke. Get it checked out.

Actinic Keratosis. Go see a dermatologist.

I’ve been doing derm for almost 10 years and I can’t tell you exactly what it is, but the chances of it being basal cell carcinoma are high enough to where if I saw that in clinic, I would definitely have it biopsied. There is also something called an amelanocytic melanoma that doesn’t contain pigment clinically, although those are a lot more rare. Just my opinion(although it is what I do everyday) get it biopsied

Could be a basal cell carcinoma. That’s not a big deal, but you should get it looked at.

Here’s what’s going to happen. The dermatologist will take a biopsy and they will tell you that it’s Basal Cell carcinoma. Hopefully, the biopsy will get most of it but they will either take a chunk out of you to get it all or perform Moh’s Therapy to take as little as necessary. You’ll start going to the dermatologist every 6 months for full body screens.
Make an appointment ASAP and get it out of the way. Maybe it’s nothing.

Are you being serious or fricking with him?
Seriously asking

I’m not joking at all. We cut off several BCCs a day. They usually aren’t a big deal. Especially on the leg. Scar will be minimal. Rates of metastases are extremely low, if in fact that’s what it is. Just needs a little biopsy. Literally takes 45 seconds to actually do the procedure and doesn’t hurt. Depending on where the OP is, I can help him out.

I hate mohs surgery. I’ve had that done twice. I would rather get a chunk taken out with good margins
Posted on 7/4/18 at 10:12 pm to Miketheseventh
Mohs surgery has the highest cure rate but I do understand the time it takes and the repair can be a bit overwhelming. It’s a good option for a lot of skin cancers.

I don’t always have medical inquiries, but when I do I take them to the internet...
