It doesn't matter if he is the dad or whatever, he is choosing to spend time and have fun with some kids. That's positive. I would just want him to tone it down a little because of risk of injury.
I used to throw my kid up like that and he loved it. I still do it to my dog. Lucky for both of them I'm not able to get them that high.

It looked scary, But hell, he fricking caught her. If he can throw her that high, then he's capable of catching her.
And even if he just slows her down, she'll be fine more than likely. It's not like he's gonna whiff completely.
