Looks more targeted if you ask me. They all turned around at the exact same time and pulled their guns. I wonder if they already knew what was in the back of that truck.

Armed robbery, grand theft auto.

If you could prove they planned this in advance you may also have a conspiracy charge.

All in all, if caught they’ll most likely have a public defender, and assuming they aren’t juveniles, probably plea out to get somewhere between 3-5 years. But I’m not a lawyer.
they are all likely repeat offenders and should already be incarcerated. another prime example for those who say we have too many incarcerated... here is proof we don't have nearly enough

New Orleans east was a popular white-flight suburb with low crime in the 80's. That changed quickly. Apparently, people who actually experienced this scenario chose safety over the pride of standing their ground.

this is the dumbest answer ever. you gonna pull a gun on 3 guys, each armed and already have you in sights in open short range? youd be fricking dead.

If one or 20 guns are pointed at me, I going red and free on my contact... if they get me, they get me.. but I'll damned sure get 1 or more before they get me. I'm not going to let someone point at me and not be fired upon. and i won't miss.

Exhibit A as to why New Orleanians should be vehemently opposed to Jason Williams as DA. He wants to give these shitheads free rein.

I don't even think they go that far. I see cars driving around with no license plates at all. I assume all of these are stolen.

Might not. Will likely be just another shooting in N.O. East which happens every single day

I agree. I see some say end money bail. No we need strong minimum sentences. You hold someone up or use a gun in a felony you lose 20 years of your life minimum.

If this ever happens to you, let them take the vehicle.

Don't fire at them, even if you are carrying, unless you're in a law and order (deep red) municipality. Never fire at person fleeing.

Even if you escape criminal charges, you'd probably spend $100k defending yourself in civil suits.

This is what I’m always wondering. I have several weapons staged in certain parts of my house. The other day I watched a car with these thugs driving and stopping at every car down my street pulling on door handles. I went to grab a weapon but decided not to since I wasn’t in immediate danger and they didn’t see me.

I proceeded to walk outside after I watched them pull on my door and passed my house. I managed to take a few pics and one of the guys stepped out the stolen vehicle they were in and we made eye contact. He saw me taking pic and jumped in the vehicle and they rolled out.

What if I was armed and he started shooting at me then he hopped in the car and took off.

Am I allowed to shoot back even though he’s driving away, after he shot at me first?

Left wing cities are becoming less stringent on crime, not more. It's going to continue to get worse too. Particularly for things like property crime.

Even though he’s running away?

What if he shot at me first then started running and I shot him in the back?

That seems like a fricking mess to have to deal with and I think they know that.

Apparently I’m not allowed to shoot at someone breaking into my vehicle at the time

I live in a deep red county, so I wouldn't worry about getting prosecuted, but I would worry about a civil suit from the deceased family.

If he is fleeing, I wouldn't shoot back
