Where I live it's the preferred means of transportation, but you couldn't pay me to ride one. Not because I'm insecure, but because about once a week someone gets killed within blocks of my house on one.
I've been involved in two non fatal accidents once when the scooter was going the wrong way on a one way and the other when a lady riding a scooter didn't stop and ran into the back of my SUV.

Since it's hot, probably not.

I see a lot of college students riding them, usually two deep with no helmets on city streets.

This was not a club ride. Me and two others were the only patch holders on the trip. The rest were friends and family.

Cool scooters, granted the Grom and z125 are more mini bikes

It could also be a snowscooter

This was sold with the Honda City II. You could fold it up and it was placed in the back of the car.

Scooter was great around campus was pretty clutch. No mile long walk after spending an hour finding a parking spot. Just leave for class 10 minutes before it starts and park in front of the building.

Would not drive one other than that.
