Is there anything greater in the world than a dog?

Sitting here, watching TV and playing with my dog. She plays until she is tired from fetching her rubber squeaky bone a hundred times, curls up to me and sleeps. I know it’s a cliche, but it’s unconditional. I still don’t know if she likes to play because it’s fun or is she doing it to entertain me. Does she fetch because she likes it, or does she fetch because she thinks I like to throw it?
She actually plays “Hide and Go Seek” with my young daughter. My daughter will throw her bone, then hide somewhere as my dog fetches the bone. She runs around the room/house looking for my daughter, and when she finds her, she goes crazy, like she won the lottery.
I cannot understand people being mean or mistreating a dog.
I know a lot of you F-250 driving Baws think I don’t have a real dog, but she is a 4.5 lb (fully grown) Shorkey (Shih Tzu/Yorkie). She is probably more of a dog than most.

Why, because she is a tiny dog?
She maybe only 4.5 lbs, but she thinks she is a 50 lb pit bull. She is not afraid of any other dogs, thinks she can take on any of them, including a 100+ lb potbelly pig my neighbor owns.
She is not mean, all she wants to do is play with any dog she sees, many times making the other dog whimper, because she is so aggressive. That is the terrier in her.

I love dogs, but I would just as soon have a rat as a pet than a Yorkie.

This bitch had so many bad habits I had no choice but to kennel her throughout the day while we were at work. Not even though she’s trustworthy and a good girl she’s grown to adore the cage so I leave it unlocked and accessible.
She’s also a hoarder and will drag all her toys in there one by one.
