I use the dealership out of convenience
I don't know of any other shop that's going to give me a loaner to drive while they are fixing my truck.
I also don't keep a vehicle not under warranty

call 667-4111. Ask lady that answers the phone to speak with Terry. Tell terry that internet dude said call him about a death wobble in your 4 runner. He's in Walker but he'll get you straightened up and he's honest to the core.

JMO, but I stay away from "stealerships". I have two friends who worked at Lexus here and they even said to stay away from them.
1.)Outrageously overpriced for the amount of labor hours they actually work on the car.
2.) They have young grad students working on your car fresh from college who have minimal knowledge of anything.
3.) They are known to pull some shady stuff.

Buddy of mine use to work at a major dealership here in town. He went to some auto mechanic school up north somewhere just do to it. When he got the job, he pretty much saw how much of a rip off the dealership mechanics were and didnt get down with it. This is where dealerships make their money according to him. He wasnt told to sabotage anyone's vehicles, however, he was told not to bring any attention to future issues with the car. He resigned a few weeks later. find a good mechanic and pay him well to stay honest.

Only thing I would consider is whether you're locked in to the dealer mechanic for your warranty to remain valid.

Recalls, possibly. Other than that, as long as you keep records of work done (with receipts), I'd stay way far away.

Why can't you tell if your car is fixed or not? You drive it and you brought it in for repair.
You should be able to tell if the condition still exists or not.
