I do on a regular basis. My supervisor is black and has had a chip on his shoulder since either Obama was elected or the race relations in this country started getting worse ( hard to tell when one started and the other began).

Then the conversations he starts with me about race relations and stories of how whites always tried to keep him down and now he laughs because he has a bigger house than 99% of the white people we work with is reflective of my job performance?
This guy was well respected years ago by everyone and now even his most faithful supporters can't tolerate him.

I think Ben Carson can have a lot of impact on bridging the gap. I'm not sure it should be as POTUS, but from projects and poverty to neurosurgery and possible presidential candidacy is a pretty amazing story. I think most importantly, his story of his mother's guidance can teach parents (particularly in poverty) of this generation the importance of being there for their children.
I have a former student sitting in jail right now (and will be for a very long time) who grew up poor and had no one around to raise him. What he did was wrong and he deserves the time he will do, but honestly the kid never had a chance.
