Leaving today and was wondering if there was a place I could stop and pick up a bag. Maybe in New Orleans or Slidell. Heading east.

Don's sells cracklins outside of their store?

I wasn’t sure. I thought there might have been a gas station that sold them or something.

I don't think that's how the cracklin game works

Danny and Bonnie Seafood in Belle Chase. Not too far out of the way and quality stuff. Fresh from the oil every time.

Google says they’re closed today. I thought Don’s was the best?

Go to Danny and Bonnie on Belle Chasse highway. It’s right off the express way.

Best cracklin around Nola

Don's is nasty. Guess I've never had the cracklins, but the boudin there is disgusting. Billy's or the best stop are easily 10 times better.

Don's is far from nasty. You may not like it but that doesn't mean it is nasty. Of the three in Scott, I prefer their boudin. Billy's too dry and last time I ate the boudin at Best Stop, it was filled with large green onions which I hate. That does not make it nasty, just not my style.

I do not like the crackling at Don's. Too hard.

Billy's has great housing balls.

Don's isn't nasty, it's just bland. Billy's is the best followed by NuNu's, then Best stop
