Let me get this straight.

You want government to stop subsidizing higher education yet want government to subsidize the filming of movies like Green Lantern?

Wow.

No I am turning your argument around and using it against you. I want the government to reform the schools and TOPS and the film tax credits. They have started the reforms on the tax credits, and I don't think the reforms were enough but they were a start. I do want TOPs to be changed to a loan that the government will pick up if you stay in Louisiana for 5 years after graduation or you have to pay back a percentage of your TOPS loan.

Now the bill they passed has a 180 million dollar cap which will kill the industy.

so the actors/crew/casting/ etc now all have to rely on the worse governor in america to veto it.

i hear he needs more time, decision should be soon

Jindal needs to call their bluff and veto the bill. If the film industry can't survive on a $180 million cap then they need to go suck off Georgia. I support the film credits and having the movie industry, but the program was getting to costly and we have to cut back. Now if the film industry has beefs with the bill then let them present a bill or plan that would address them but also keep the state from paying like it has the last few years. If their beefs are that they can't operate without every single penny that was cut then they can suck a dick and GTFO.

I don't see him veto'ing the bill...

but they have 11k signatures that was sent to the gov's office and they have a big grassroots campaign going on

should be interesting to see what he does
