Not trying to flame or troll. I know this thread won't last long but yolo.
It seems like half of the black guys at LSU went there, but I've seen people rip it on here. It's not cheap, so it's not like it's full of poors.
Also, St Aug grads seem like black people's douchey frat star types.

There were some guys from there on NSD announcing their decision to go to some Ivy League schools, so it appears to be good.

It is better than most of the public schools in the area, but not as good as most of the private schools.
They def. teach their kids discipline and you rarely ever hear of them being problem kids.
I'm happy as hell that LSU gets alot of recruits from there.

I remember what their tuition was when we went to Gormley to watch St. Aug v. Karr.
I believe I remember the tuition being $7K+.

Not sure about academics, but all the students that I have met personally have all had outstanding character (save me the TM7 argument). I think it is mainly due to a strong family involvement with the school.
You may remember that the parents, students and alums fought to keep corporal punishment in the school a couple of years ago. Says a lot right there.

St. Augustine is a decent institution. I'm sure there are accelerated classes there. Like most things, it's what you do with the opportunities given to you.
You cannot force motivation or learning on someone.

Decent school with good kids and a proud alumni base from my experience

I think most drill sergeants would disagree with this.
