The Barque BBQ joint is legit. Ate there a few years ago. Started talking to the owner, turns out he is from Baton Rouge.

No, it isn’t a particular nice area anymore. It used to be a pretty nice area so there are likely good deals on older nicer homes. North Chattanooga and East Brainerd are good areas; Ooltewah, and Signal Mountain are likely expensive

With the traffic bottlenecks there, no part of Chattanooga is worth living in.
