Worked at a nursery in college. Let's just say I saw people with horticulture degrees working for peanuts

Maybe major in education and teach pe and coach when football is done.

Botany might be a more scientific choice of major…but also more difficult.

That major is Applied Physiology and Kinesiology…IDK about that though.

I’d pick plant science or turf management and then add minor/degree in business or management.

That was the college major/minor a family friend chose. He runs a plant nursery/landscaping company. He makes good money and says he enjoys the work.

They have business administration and sports management minors. Just an Introduction to Financial Accounting math requirement for both.

In the absence of any other reason to pick a degree, I'd counsel my hypothetical son to go B.S. business (not B.A., take the extra math), and then MBA or law. It is a time tested and more or less foolproof formula.

A friend of mine has the equivalent of this from Nicholls. He works for some company in Houston that has absolutely nothing to do with his major.
