Video done by PBS and The Atlantic. Basically, they found that cities with upward mobility were expensive and cities that weren't expensive lacked upward mobility. Minneapolis was the exception, according to them.

They've got good education, low poverty, low crime, good parks, vibrant downtown, etc.

Except for that 9 months of winter thing, it's pretty awesome.

The Twin Cities are pretty cool, in my opinion.

1. It's in Minnesota -- you betcha

2. It snows there half the year

3. It's in a state that elected AL FRANKEN to the Senate

Oh, is that the one who pays prostitutes to indulge his diaper fetishes, all while touting family values?

I've never been to Minneapolis but I imagine it is similar to to Calgary which really impressed the shite out of me. Surprisingly vibrant and urban with a strong emphasis on parks, recreation, ped/bike paths, etc. There weren't any blacks there but there were a ton of Asians and middle easterners which meant lots of good food. Obviously, as others mentioned about MN, the cold weather is a real bummer.

Granted, summers up north are amazing. Long days, good weather, clean water, and people appreciate the shite out of them so there's tons of stuff to do.
