Only if you want children. If you don't want children there is no reason to marry a women.

Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean marriage is bad. I've been married almost 4 years, but with my wife for 10 years. Def worth it. I've never been through a divorce so can't put myself in your shoes, but don't act like marriage is worthless. I bet you want more gun control as well, am I right?

That's not the only possible reason. If you find your soulmate you go for it.

I'm going to say no. But you have an advantage in court as a male, if you were married as opposed to single and living together.

Negative, keep a separate bank account and be respectful of how much time to allocate.

You always want what you don't have 45 year Olds who don't have a wife and kids long for family. Those who are married long for freedom.

It varies how much depending on how happy you are with the decisions you've made, but all in all you want what you don't have.

We have a couple of retired guys who were single their entire lives. They retired with a nice chunk of money and sailed off in to the sunset.

They are the only schmucks who call years later wanting to talk about work. They have nothing else in their lives. It is sort of sad.

Married life isn't for everyone though. I know older singles that are quite content with their lives. Married with kids doesn't guarantee contentment.

Very True.

I just hope to God my life never involves a worry about what is happening at work when I am home.

I agree with you on that one. I work to live, not live to work.

You should do some research into civilizations that developed without marriage as an institution.

I can't picture myself at one job for more than about 5 years much less worrying about a job I'm no longer at.

If you aren't getting promoted within your company or outside your company you may need to reevaluate

Same company, yes. Same job, no way. I get bored as hell.

Barely two years and I am already causing mayhem because it bores me to death.

I can tell you definitively that Christine and I had way more sex before we were married. Before we were married she was at the cabin (and I was at her apartment) religiously to knock boots. There's a lot less emphasis on that now. Of course, we are a bit older so that may be a factor as well.

32 years, one wife. Yes, I highly recommend it. One thing though, it is a LIFETIME commitment, for better or worse, til death do us part...

Gun control?! I'm on the Trump train man, I'm totally against gun control.
Yes I get it that all marriages are not bad, I envy people that have long lasting marriages, it just unfortunately didn't work for me after 11 years. Now after I have been thru a divorce and saw the dirty side of what marriage means" legally" I could only do it again with a partner that can contribute to the marriage.
Marriage can be great
Divorce can steal your soul.
