No. Does Louisiana have a NASCAR track? No. South Louisiana is predominantly Catholic. That's not Deep South to me.

Oddly enough, I think north Louisiana is more "deep south" than south Louisiana is.

New orleans is deep south, Baton Rouge is slightly north but Alexandria to Shreveport is not Deep South. In fact the love for the Cowboys in Shreveport does not help.

The deep south is LA, MS, AL, and GA, with influence in East Texas, South Arkansas, South Tennessee, South Carolina, and parts of North Florida.

Only four states are, LA MS AL GA

Heard a pretty good argument that South Louisiana is not really the deep south on account of their Cajun heritage. North LA fits the mood of the classic south given their agricultural base and history of plantations.

All people think of when they think of south LA is the gays in New Orleans
