Damn dude you sound shallow.. we are both 50 and are in decent shape for our age but if my wife did put on extra pounds I would still love her the same

I'm curious to know if anyone would still have sex with their SO if the other got fat. Like, would you still be attracted to them to be aroused and "get it up"?

This is such a dipshit 20 something year old's question about marriage.

If you think this way, you have no idea what a marriage is, you think your wife is just a really serious girlfriend.

I say absolutely it is. Now divorcing her for 10lbs, heck no. But 50+lbs?? That would be a serious issue. My wife and I are both into fitness, and healthy eating. So if she gained a bunch of weight, it wouldn't just be a physical attraction difference, but a lifestyle difference.

My wife and I have a deal that we aren't allowed to deviate from 20 pounds of our marriage weight.

How many "extra pounds" would be too many though? Is there no limit to this? You may still love the person, or the idea of the person, but there comes a point when the person you're with is no longer the person you married.

Sounds like you need a joint venture and not a wife

NO.

Primarily you marry the person, which includes the body. Tuff for a woman to compete with the short skirt over in accounting.

I wanna know why people are ignoring my question...

No, but if you or your spouse has let their weight run away on a freight train and it's not because of medical issues, there are probably some serious underlying issues that have fricked up the marriage.

Having gone through it, for me the answer is yes. I'm sure it has a limit, but we didn't get to it.

ETA: Marriage is about so much more than physical looks.

After two kids, my wife has added some curves. Frankly, I love them. Now, if she added a semi trailer, no it would be difficult for me to be attracted sexually to her.

"If you looked like this the first time I met you, I would have never spoken to you again, much less taken you out or married you, so what makes you think I'm ok with it now?"
