Poverty rate is 25%. Roughly the same as NO. Sure, there's some money there but most people are not wealthy at all. Your chances of being a violent crime victim are more than 10x greater in NO.

used to have relatives in the valley, always thought it was a cool place, back in the day you could even safely walk around the border towns at night, used to do a lot of white wing hunting in Mexico, not sure I would go near a border town today

Those South Texas Hispanics are turning Republican. They will be more than 50% Republican in 2024.

Only been there once and never felt unsafe. Its far better in that regard than most urban areas in the South.

In the late 1980s a lot of south Texas Hispanics were republicans then too - not sure what happened in the 1990s

most hispanics seem to be, I'm in the DFW area and I see more of them sporting MAGA/Trump/Pence 2024 bumper stickers/gear than the gringos

Most Hispanics I know that became legal through the long process tend to be Republicans and despise illegals looking for shortcuts and handouts.

Same, although we are just members on a lease down that way. Beautiful animals and more fun to hunt than deer imo.

There is nothing political or grumpy in this thread from me. You just get pissed off when people point out the shithole you call home.

Calling out the NO crime rate and poverty rate is "grumpy."

NO has a poverty rate of 25%, that's pathetic.

I don’t live in NO. What makes you think that?

Your post history is disconcerting, to say the least.
