If I was a parent, I'd self administer ADHD meds to minors rather than let them be in charge of it.

My stepdaughter fried her brain on that crap. Her mom and I found out she was taking up to 8 of those pills a day.

Jesus. I’m amazed if she still has teeth. Even a fairly low dose of adderall made me clench my teeth and feel like shite. 8 a day would have been hell.

I’ve taken Vyvanse for a few years. It’s not really effective anymore beyond mild appetite control, but I felt really depressed last time I went off. Prob frying my brain.

Me too. Prescription is covered 100% through insurance. Co-pay for the quarterly visit is $110.00

It’s annoying but worth it. 30mg twice per day for the last couple years. Best years of my life so far.

I preferred vyvanse over adderall. Got new insurance and had to switch to adderall, due to cost.

I went from $15/month w/the coupon to $75/month with the coupon.

Can’t wait until generic brand vyvanse is approved.

A bunch of jealous mofos in this thread who got turned down by their doc while trying to get Adderall or Vyvanse.

Sounds like it's still pretty damn effective then.

Agree. I have to pay OOP til I meet a $500 deductible. At $330/bottle, it doesn’t take long. After that, I pay $30/mo with the coupon. I bumped my FSA up to $1000 to cover the cost.

I switched to adderall 5-6 years ago because generics are free for me. Unfortunately, it’s awful for me. I never felt much focus, my jaw was tight, and I couldn’t sleep. Because I couldn’t sleep, I needed adderall to attempt to have enough energy to focus. Crappy cycle. I stopped taking anything for a while, then sucked it up and went back to Vyvanse.

You are telling us that this drug is so important to you and that it changes the quality of your life so much that you take it every day of your life -
But then you complain about the less than $1 a day charge to obtain the prescription for it? You want to go back to the less 50 cents a day you were paying before (going every 6 months)?

You sound like the type of guy that if he had an adverse event on the medication - would sue the same physician for not “monitoring me more carefully and frequently”.

You are a drug addict

The fact that you are getting irrationally angry about this proves it

Every adult I know with a hair test job, has an Adderall prescription.
Crazy shite, but maybe that's why.

Maybe the reason they call you millennials snowflakes is because you feel bad unless you take pharmaceutical cocaine

Haven't had many patients say they really liked the straterra. But your mileage may vary.
