Is it possible to be intelligent AND poor?

It’s obviously possible, but it seems extremely unlikely.
I’m not talking about kids who aren’t yet old enough to get out of poverty. Nor am I describing folks who may have hit a rough patch. I mean real poors...those who need gov assistance for much/most of their life.
Also, I don’t mean folks who have normal jobs. My dad was a welder and one of the smartest people I have ever known.

Yes, you can be intelligent and have a substance abuse problem that completely ruins your life.
You can also be intelligent and not poor, and still enjoy listening to hip hop

obviously possible... a lot of the richest ppl are far from the smartest. Usually they're just the biggest rats and lack the moral fiber that intelligent people seem to possess.

Yes. Some people are naturally very intelligent but are also lazy and or make very bad personal choices.
Similarly, there are some poeple who are clearly NOT intelligent, but because of circumstance or a unique skill become extremely wealthy. See many pro athletes and entertainers.

You think the average intelligence of those with advanced degrees is not significantly different than those without? You're arguing that there is no correlation between education level and intelligence?
