I've wondered this too. There are many things about dreams i wish people understood, but sadly, i don't think we ever will.

So what'd you end up doing with the ceiling? Who won?

The ceiling was only messed up in our dream so we didn't have to decide. In reality our ceiling was in perfect condition (well except for that unfortunate hole in it were my husband shot his new speargun thru it).

But hell, I liked that hole in the ceiling, I would point it out proudly that my husband had shot a 1500 sq ft house which he should have gotten an award for at the annual spearfishing rodeo,

Hey, he owed me a new ceiling after shooting a hole in the one we had! He did that within weeks of us buying the house. I couldn't even be mad because it was too funny.

(The dreams were years after he shot the ceiling so it wasn't like it was recent or on our minds.)

I wish my SOs would understand it was only a dream and there's no reason to keep being mad at me.

Without missing a beat my husband said he had the same dream the night before too, and he wanted the ceiling replaced like it was before. We had the exact same dream and details.

No, he was just trying to impress to get into your pants...

I think that any of that kind of cross contact is purely coincidental. That's only my guess.

No, your dream material comes from you personality insecurities, fears, fond memories, not so fond memories, and deepest desires and fantasies buried very deep in your shadow. Your dreams are only a part of you and a very deep you that you will mostly never understand or acknowledge because the shadow is so ingrained in the subconscious.

I've had the little lady wake up mad at me for something I did in her dream. My response was that IMHO dreams were like a one-act play, where the dreamer plays all the roles.

She actually thought that was profound. Particularly since the "me" in her dream was talking and acting more like she herself would in that situation.

Man, this is frickin eeery. I had this exact thought maybe two or three times this week because I vividly had dreams of certain people in my life. Some I still communicate with, some I don't. But when I wake up I get this strange feeling they may have been dreaming of me/in the same dream. Some of them I can connect from seeing their name or whatever from the day before, but others I can't. I'm of the belief that we are each thinking of each other in some subconscious, unexplainable way.

Though, it all may just be a coincidence. Who knows. I do know that we may never understand dreams, but maybe that's the best part about it. If you can control when you have those happy dreams of loved ones, people you miss, or just to escape a shitty phase in life, it kind of loses its luster.
