Yes, you tip them!!! Just like you tip a waiter or waitress in a restaurant who brings you your food.

I won't go to sonic if i don't have a couple bucks at least in spare change to tip them. There should be a tip option on the order screen that you could add a tip to your card after you receive your food.

So if you have a couple $20s you'll give them them one and say give me $19 back?

i've done it before

i'm sure they don't mind making change to get a tip

Most of us live in the first world where tolls are electronic so we don’t have singles. And incidentals? Like when you go to the one place in town that doesn’t take cards?

so when I drive in another city, I'm magically going to already have a toll pass for their system?

and by incidentals, I meant a wide array of things. i typically always have cash because we bet on the golf course, etc.

it's not like having cash on you in 2018 is that hard to believe, even if you use cards most of the time

Probably a fee, yes. But good luck trying to pay a cash toll in Texas for instance. Booths have been removed, it’s all electronic.

I didn’t say that.

I just said I never have small bills and I’m not tipping $20.

No one is suggesting you tip 20 dollars

But whatever you have to tell yourself to justify not tipping. It’s not required, so you’re in the clear.

So you carry cash for tolls when you obviously never incur tolls. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a manned toll, and I've used several toll roads in multiple states over the last couple of years.

i paid a cash toll several times last week in pensacola, did the same last time I went to orange beach

so i guess that's never

Why would I need to justify something that you yourself just said wasn’t required?

Not manned, but Indian nation in Oklahoma has change buckets.

Also OKC has manned ones.

The bridges in San Francisco have manned booths.

Obviously the entrances for DFW airport have them too.

I tip any server that I feel did a good job and do not tip one that doesn't. I will add that they have to be really bad for me not to tip them. I realize that their base pay is not great.

I used to but my new Sonic has a drive-thru. I don't like eating in my truck anyway.

I don't tip at Sonic. They bring out the food....it's not like they're waiting on me for 45 minutes to bring extras or refill drinks.
