Not in my area. The only times I remember seeing unpainted toe nails is when the women are giving their nails a break. And that is when ballet flats and closed toe shoes come in.

I rarely paint my fingers because it chips a day or two in so I just shape and buff.

I do all sorts of colors. Both my fingers and toes are blue right now.

The same people who say New Iberia haircuts & tattoos are trashy It might be time for me to just embrace my inherent class level rather than continuing to fight it.

Funny part is that I grew up seeing that style in Abbeville and Erath before New Iberia.

it probably didn’t become trashy til it was picked up by the lower class. Much like the name Alyssa, and Coach bags.

This is the correct answer. Once the underclass gets should of something it's gone. I like French or American tip myself

Light blue? Dark blue? Fingers and toes always match? Fascinating discussion.. lol.

Being follically challenged makes things easier.

was there ever a time they weren’t? Seems like boy band members in the 90s could’ve pulled it off. 20 years later, the consensus is universal.

Dark blue. They don’t always match, but they usually do.

Nothing worse than sucking on a toe and getting paint chips in your mouth

Is the ombré french tip considered to be trashy? I kind of like it (on the hands) if done properly.

French pedicures are just always wrong I won’t lie & say I’ve never worn it in past decades, though

I don’t think ombré manicures are considered trashy (yet). But if you start seeing them on thick square cut acrylic nails, it’s time to stop.

If the nails can scratch me and leave marks, I really don't give a crap on the style that is chosen to provide them decor

Never paint my fingernails from my years at the bedside as a nurse(wasn't allowed). It is allowed in my new role...but I just don't bother with it and am not spending the $$ for someone else to do it.

I do always paint my toenails.

Now we have to get five free or seven free non chemical polishes. The salons don't have these so you have to DIY it. I ordered several colors online and forgot the non acetone remover. It also took almost a year of closed toe and ballet flats to grow out the discoloration and damage (very slight) from years of professional pedicures.

Maybe it’s just the more liberal women who are not painting their nails I guess.
