Exactly. Follow the money. The fact that there are 3500 members who are all paying dues and buying throws from the Krewe. Yet the Krewe does not own its own den or own its own floats. Where is all of that money going???

Yeah, I don't feel it's my place to post specific accusations... but there are certainly a lot of other concerns. This facebook post was the most public of them.

They blew up too fast. Like any company that blows up too fast, it's going to have growing pains. In this case, the captain seems to be taking advantage of that.

NO folks are weird. They have a body rotting in a partially collapsed building in the middle of downtown - and are totally cool with leadership on that -

But some leader of a parade for a drunken street party posts some crap on social media and there’s a revolution.

No one in the city is ok with that. What are you taking about?

Because it's easier to quit a MG krewe than it is to move out of a city. Also, a good number of Nyx riders don't live in Orleans Parish.

Any talk of forcing the resignation of the building inspector? Mayor? Perp walking the owner of the construction company?

Rail on the krewe leader - priorities in check.

Several of the inspectors have been fired.

Mayor?

The mayor is pretty much hated by everyone, but recalling a public official in a major LA city is damn near impossible.

The vast majority of the citizens would enjoy seeing several of the principals hung from the top of the damage. But, criminal investigations move slowly, especially when the feds are involved.

Because this is something people can actually deal with, without needing the government to get involved.
