When there were food stamps, some of the middle class black secretaries, at work, would buy and sell food stamps 50 cents to the dollar.

That is the way

Mom & dad never get married, but live together and have kids
Listed as single mom who doesn't work or works a low hours/low pay job.
Her income determines the SNAP benefit amount
Low income gets her on Medicaid - doctors and hospitals are free

Doesn't matter how much the dad's income is. He could be making $200k a year

A trip to the grocery store - mom buys all groceries listed on SNAP
Dad buys steaks, alcohol, and anything else needed
