And now my SO is suffering the effects. Baby oil used for tanning. Now has had cancerous melanomas removed.

Apparently a shite ton of all time records have already been broken in Texas this summer. Quick google search has plenty of them.

Course all time records have been getting broken every year for a decade now. It's going to continue of course and it's not like this wasnt widely predicted by about 99% of climate scientists 30-40 years ago. Global warming predictions from the 1980s have been pretty accurate.

From weather underground

In recent weeks across the Northern Hemisphere, these records have included an impressive number of all-time highs (an all-time high is the warmest temperature reported on any date at a given location).
Setting an all-time high is no small accomplishment, especially for locations that have long periods of record (PORs). All-time highs are especially noteworthy when you consider that, on average, the planet is warming more during winter than during summer, and more at night than during the day. Urban heat islands are no doubt contributing somewhat to the heat records achieved in large urban areas, but the extreme heat of 2018 has also played out in remote rural areas without any urban heat islands.

We hit 92 up here in Buffalo today, felt like 97. I moved away from the south to get away from this shite, not embrace it. No A/C either so fans are on full blast

WRONG! Climate change models from the 80s and 90s have been drastically incorrect.

I’ve learned to handle the heat in San Antonio, it’s not a big deal to me unless I’m working outside
