Margaritas are good and I love watching 70 year old men get all fricked up.

I agree.

I didn't realize how douchey Lafayette bars were until I left.

Are you referring to the good ole baws that have their faded back pockets bedazzled

Older guys wear them too.

They're so terrible.

When are the best days/times for people like us to hang at Corner Bar?
Tuesday nights are pretty good, generally speaking.

I guarantee you that if you check their IDs, 95% of them live in Broussard, Carencro, Scott, or Duson. They get all dressed up to take their ladies out to "the city."

I've been going there since birth. The food took a dip after Lee Bob died and the place seemed to start cutting costs, but now that the kids are back in charge, It's up to its old standards.

I know plenty of people who eat there all the time.

Don't you think it's time to step up your game. CB isn't necessarily a chicken bar...but on certain nights can be. Once your employed, get started earlier and head out to Lafonda, Charlie G's, Ruth's, Tsunami, etc and start w drinks that aren't on special like a dump bar.
Be friendly and talk to those around you. Try having fun I stead of thinking you'll show your biz card and get your ugly arse laid. Once your speaking w people, they will set you straight on how to proceed that night.
There's a direction to go for college age kids (downtown bars), and entirely another for others.

Tuesday nights get super packed because of 1/2 price drinks. I hardly ever go to bars anymore, but I used to like going on Sunday nights to watch SNF.

When did they get back in charge? I haven't eaten in there in a while, only got an appetizer (nachos) and margaritas the last few times I went.

Everyone says the food at Lafonda stinks but then immediately tells you that it does one or two dishes really well. It happens without fail. So while the food across the board may not be great, there are a few entrees there that are pretty good. Also, their fried rabbit is a fantastic appetizer.

A few years ago. A few of them had lived out of town but moved back. They run it together now. Prior to that, Lee Bob's old manager was running it and IMO the ingredients weren't up to their old quality. Even my grandmother complained about it. The enchiladas and guac are top notch, and the nachos are what nachos are supposed to be.

But you don't have to have the same taste as me. No foul there.

At CB, I just like the week days better. The kinds of people who have to show up to work at 7 am are RADICALLY different than those who can stay up later because they work at 9, if you follow me.

I'll order an entree the next time I go and give it a shot. If the food is good, I'd go more because I think it's a cool place.

I want to get this straight

You're question boils down to "Is Corner Bar in Lafayette the worst bar in Louisiana because (and this is the lynchpin of your argument) people wear coats"?

It's right by Rouse's. There's a Twins right there, too.
