You're not even supposed to chew it, really. Just get it started then put it in your lip like a chew for 15ish minutes.

I quit smoking when I was 31 with nicotine gum. I'm about to turn 46 and still chew it. I've never really even attempted to quit it.

Wow. Good for you for not smoking all the time though.

I used the gum to stop smoking and then decided to stop the gum too. It was hard for about a week, but I eventually stopped. I will have the occasional cigarette now and then. Probably tempting fate, but so far so good.

Yeah, I guess we all smoked back then or many of us did. I'd say 60-70% of the kids I went to HS with smoked. I'm glad my kids don't.

A lot of that was social smoking. It was rare to see a daily smoker. Usually weekend and going to parties smoking.
