Stick to your Honda Civic.
Love my Jeeps.

My hard top isn't loud at all. Sure, it's a little more noisy than my commuter car but not by much. Most of the noise is the mud terrains and not wind noise.

I had a 2010 Rubicon with the old 3.8L. Got rid of it mainly because of lack of power. Couldn't get out of its own way on the highway.
I thought it was a fairly comfortable ride though. Wasn't a Caddy but I didn't find it as bad as everyone says. They get HOT inside in the summer. And Louisiana has like 4 days a year that are good top down weather.

Not a good daily driver or commute vehicle. I always felt like I had taken a severe beating after an hour drive in mine.

I have no Jeep experience at all but I know whenever I drive the southbound span, I want to blow my brains out because of the dips at every damn expansion joint. Doesn't do it so bad with my truck but my wife's SUV ends up doing an arse bounce that never stops for 24 miles.

Have taken several road trips in both of them. They are fine. Easily accelerate in them and ride comfortably doing 80-85 on highways in them.
But you live in AZ. They actually maintain the highways where you live. You could drive on square tires in your state and still have a smoother ride than on any road in La.
I'd try to find the smoothest ride available OP. Regardless of what it is.

Is a Jeep Rubicon a terrible Vehicle

You do realize that many guys that do serious Jeep off-roading actually prefer the 4 door jeeps over a 2 door jeep for that purpose?
At the 4:40 mark of this video a 2-door is shown having to go around an obstacle. Couldn't even make it to the beginning of the Rubicon trail like all of the 4-doors.

All the packages are confusing. I just assumed the Rubicon was the nicest
It's heavy duty for off-roading. Don't know if it would be considered the nicest.
The majority of Toad's that are pulled 4-wheels down by RV's are Rubicons. From what I can tell it is because of the transfer case and the fact that the Rubicons have an additional position for the ignition key.
You can turn the key to the position right before "lock" and remove it. This way the accessory power is off and the front wheels turn freely without having to leave the key in the ignition with the accessory power on to drain the battery.

There has been a ton of wrong info in this thread, if you're serious about a Jeep go find a Jeep forum but since you're here I'll give you the low down.
My dad has a 2dr Rubicon that he keeps at his beach house and my girlfriend has a 4dr Sahara. The biggest problem with the Rubicon on the road are the tires that come on them and the Willy's Jeeps, those mud tires are super loud. As far as on road performance goes the tires are the biggest difference between the packages. Also, the Rubicon rides down the road fine because it does in fact have a front sway bar, you can disconnect it with a button instead of having to crawl under the Jeep to unbolt it while off-roading. Rubicon's can come with all the bell & whistles that Saharas come with and they have a ton of off-road features that are unique to them. Soft tops are loud though, if you're someone who listens to your music loud you won't really notice it. If you'll use it like an actual Jeep you really can't get anything more capable than the 2 door Rubicon, yes the 4 door is better on long steep inclines off-road but overall the 2 door is much more nimble and has better angles for off-roading.
I almost bought a Rubicon instead of my F-150 but I needed something that could tow well and handle 30,000 miles a year in comfort.
