A couple who lived near my grandparents had 17 children. Every one of them grew up to be responsible, productive citizens.

And all of us, friends included went to public schools in East Baton Rouge Parish. You just don’t have a clue about raising a family.

Yeah, because it’s a running theme that successful lawyers, engineers, and doctors have 15 kids and then all of them become lawyers and engineers. Your scenario is as believable as a person taking down an elephant with their bare hands.

I am skeptical as to the probability of you all become upper middle class professionals.
That aside, the exception often proves the rule. It is possible that you had a family with exceptional talent in rearing kids and giving great advice. However, the majority of people in modern society have multiple kids under irresponsible and selfish pretense (purely sexual or to extort government benefits).
I definitely agree with the comment regarding black teens. Some of them are responsible, but the majority of them equate having multiple kids for different men/women as being "water is wet". Sad part is that the kids are the ones who suffer the most.
I'm not advocating judging people, but I am advocating for taking personal responsibility and acknowledging when something is wrong.

I have 8 brothers and sisters. We're all doing very well. We've never needed to all ride in the same vehicle either. You don't usually have a kid every other year. I'm 20 years older than my youngest sibling. It's not like you'd be raising 8 kids all under 10 years old...
