Older people are usually the power holders in a society.

I agree, maybe you're right maybe we're way past middle age...maybe we need to be even more careful. At least in infancy course corrections can be made.

I know everyone laughs it off but we have a lot top learn from history (especially military history) that can guide us going forward.

Well at the moment we can. And Iran can be turned into a parking lot if the United States decides to do so. As of now it is not pretending. I don’t have a crystal ball for the future nor am I a warmonger.
Frankly I don’t think Trump has the balls or stomach to follow this through and that actually might be a good thing.

Yes, we can send nukes and level iran into a parking lot.
Russia CAN respond by launching all of its nukes at the US. Pakistand my realize it is in danger of falling victim to being turning into a lot as wlel and fired its own nukes.
Lots of things CAN happen, most of them shouldn't.
