Twitter saying it's because of a stalled vehicle. If this this is true, this city is ridiculous. The traffic that is stopped for a fricking stalled vehicle is pathetic. I just went eastbound and saw how far back it was and noticed that it wasn't moving. Get your shite together DOTD and BRPD.

The problem is the bridge

There is essentially one way across the river

When it goes down, the city burns

Just an update from a long way away. Google traffic says the I's, 10 and 12, are backed up from Essen to the middle of the bridge.

There needs to be 5 westbound lanes all the way from the 10/12 split through the west side of port Allen or the Lobdell exit. There are 5 lanes when 10 and 12 merge but things get dicey when you lose a lane at college, then immediately lose another lane at Acadian. Lucky for me, I get off on college and I can ride that far right lane for a while.

If you don't shut it down a drunk will crash into first responders and those trying to help.
