This is the quickest driving route that will take you to all 48 states. It's 6800 miles and it will take around 120 hours if you only stop for gas, food and restroom.
So the next time you get jealous reading one of those "how many states have you been to" threads, take a week off work, grab a buddy, fly to Portland, ME, rent a cheap car and take shifts driving to Kalispell, MT and you can post in that thread like a BOSS!

quote:Damn, I haven't heard that name in a long time. It was Christmas Eve 1983 or maybe 1984 that my parents were tasked with moving my grandparents (mom's parents) to New Mexico from BR. We pulled a loaded trailer out of BR around 8AM and drove straight through to Fort Stockton. I remember it being around midnight. At that point, my dad had to sleep for an hour or so. I wandered around the truck stop, just enjoying life. Probably like 2 or 3 AM on Christmas morning we hit the road again, arriving near White Sands around 10AM. So, just over 24 hours of driving. And, my dad got his MIL from across the field to over 1,000 miles away.

Old wives' tale. Look at a map of I-110 in BR. It has a small stretch of E/W, but is mostly N/S. This happens many places in the country.
Look at the 710 in L.A.

ETA: I guess i should apologize to the downvote queers. I did not know f@gs couldn't read a map. Ret5urn to your regularly scheduled cock smoking.

The man that made the glue for the yellow reflectors on the highway is Frank Robinson. My uncle.
We tell your uncle if Louisiana is using his formula, Louisiana is mixing it wrong or the formula doesn’t work. Those reflectors stick for about a month or two and then they are gone.
Luckily the thermoplastic reflective tape stays on otherwise, our roads would have no center line or fog lines, and that is if DOTD restripes regularly. Sometimes, they just spray reflective paint over the tape. One time they did this and who ever did it did a poor job. The lines looked like a Kindergarten student drawing a straight line.

You are getting downvoted because it is true with the two digit highways. I-110 is a spur off the east-west oriented I-10.
