Inmate accused of throwing hot water on man, faking fall

An inmate at Richwood Correctional Center is facing additional charges after he allegedly threw hot water on a second inmate at the facility.
According to an arrest report for Joeterrius Moore, age 22, Peach Street, deputies with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the center Thursday morning regarding a battery complaint.
The shift supervisor at the facility said the suspect intentionally threw hot water on the other inmate and provided the deputy with video footage showing the incident.
The arresting deputy reported the video showed the suspect approach the victim's bed from an area in the cell with a microwave for heating food and drinks.
Moore then threw water on the victim as he slept. Per the report, the suspect then proceeded to "slip" on the ground "in an effort to disguise his attack as unintentional."
During an interview with the arresting deputy, Moore said he had no recollection of the event.
