South Point apartments are a good cheap apartment. I lived there for a year and a half when I first moved here 8 years ago.

Avoid the north side of town, esp. 4 corner.

Red's gym in the morning before work is a good place to meet people. Red's in the afternoon after work is a bad place to meet people.

There are much worse areas on the Northside than the 4 Corners. Police have a mobile command unit parked out there now and I think they're going to get rid of that seedy motel soon. People love White Subdivision and that's right around the corner from 4 Corners

Get an F250 with a pair of truck nuts, stock up on affliction attire and hair gel. You'll fit in just fine.

You left out the White Oakleys.

Red's sucks

unless you want to hangout with the affliction crowd

oakbourne is much better imo. Unless you're a body builder

but that's just based on the people. The gym is better at reds

La Fondas is really good.....if you know what to order.

i will say this, i know its a "mexican restaurant" but dont order the mexican food there. that part isnt any good.

tuna steak, chicken wings, polo loco are all delicious, not to mention nice scenery until you can't see anymore.

Pretty good stuff.

Still don't understand why some people freak out about the Northside though. White Subdivision is one of my favorite in Lafayette and I grew up on the Southside.

Think I agree with pretty much everything else.

I live at The Crescent in River Ranch and love it. Thursdays during the Spring We have Rhythms on The river right in the middle of the complex. Live bands come perform and there are a bunch of sponsors with tents and food. Its a good time.

Rent also includes an all access membership to the City Club (fitness center about 100 yards away)

Lot of bars within about a 5 minute drive and Taproom is walking distance...

Definitely a better part of town and a lot of folks in your age range.
