Yeah basically comes down to owner discretion
I worked at a bar one time where a guy came in and ordered 4 drinks, then walked outside where his 3 daughters that were 12-14 years old were waiting outside to sit there and drink. And this place was on a major road in broad daylight so it was beginning for a cop to start asking questions
I told them they gotta go somewhere else

No, too busy loading my pipe. On my back porch, enjoying the weather, coffee and my smoke. Dont wanna read laws.
Just wanna kick back, listen to acid bath and occasionally reply

Yep used to do this with my dad. Only had a few refusals due to company policy.
Laws supersede rules/policies.

I can't argue with that. You win.
The law seems to allow for a person over 21 to give alcohol to a spouse or legal child.
Enjoy your smoke, baw.

I never looked it up but my kids used to hang out with me at LSU tailgates because allegedly they could drink in my presence legally and not get ticketed for MIP. Never had any problem with it either.

The law allows vendors to set their own rules/policies and to deny service to anyone for any non-discriminatory reason. Consumers have no right to demand service under the law.

Also, there is no such exception under alabama law. It is illegal for a parent to buy their 20 year old child an alcoholic beverage in the state of Alabama.

All the law says is that you can be in possession of alcohol if you're under 21 and with a parent, guardian or spouse who is at least 21.
It doesn't say shite about my restaurant having to give them possession.
