In St Bernard they're giving every resident 10 sandbags...

It's just a feel good thing... 10 bags wont do shite in flooding,,

The whole idea of sand bags is stupid anyway. The only way it’s going to do any good is if you build a wall of them around your entire house and have pumps to pump out the leaks. Anything else is a waste of time. If you put them around your door and it keeps the water out the water is getting in the walls anyway.

Sandbags might help if you have a wake from vehicles driving down a flooded street hitting your door. They won't do shite against rising floodwaters.

This is a good time of the year to get the free yard fill. Fill in your holes and low areas. In two weeks your St Augustine will look marvelous

I just use bags of mardi gras beads I have up in the attic. Works perfect!

Put them on your window ledges in case the water gets that high.
