Exactly .. and there are other terrible reasons, like the fact that commercial real estate needs office workers in buildings in order to remain profitable .. i would have way more respect for all these folks if they’d just be honest about the real reasons for requiring workers to come back to the office, instead of the mental gymnastics they do in order to try and make people think that sitting in traffic, and water cooler BS , and office politics, and sharing a bathroom with trashy coworkers is somehow a good thing .

Hybrid/wfh/office choices are all good and correct choices based on people/role etc. a one-size fits all approach is bad people management. That is the 21st century white collar office for you.
