Holy shite....that's awesome. I'm not sure Jeffrey(his son) would think it was funny but your work needs to be recognized.

Pioneer pub has a really good pizza. A new guy bought the landing and food has been much better.

Mariner's is pretty good. Mama's or Papa's on Front St. The Landing on Front St. ain't bad.

Grayson's BBQ about a ten minute ride on LA 6 E. has good BBQ but I am pretty sure they're closed until after Jan. 1. They close every Monday but I believe they shut down for a week after Christmas.

If you want some down home stuff, nothing fancy but like your grandmother or mother used to put on the table, Almost Home on the LA 1 by-pass is very good; lunch meal.

I gotta a $50 gift card in it if you go piss on my grandmother's grave while you're there. My whole family was born in Natchitoches. It's a great little down to visit but there is some evil shite under the surface. For example, on my baseball team when I was a kid, our third baseman's dad murdered our shortstop's dad in a freakin' mob hit.

That's not to mention the child porn/human trafficking ring, drug running and other generally evil shite. Grab a meatpie, then hit I-49.

Spent two years of my life in that town until the college cut my program and I had to transfer to Tech, which was the best thing that could have happened to me.

There's definitely something "off" about that town and I'm from an area where a candidate for sheriff tried to blow up the current sheriff with a bomb.

There's a few good eats though. The Landing & Mariners are great. Never cared for Lasyone's. I just don't trust a restaurant that doesn't serve booze. Except for Chef Wok. I lived off that stuff for 2 years and still crave it on occasion.

papa's boasts "the best steak in town". Which means the rest of the places must serve some really terrible steaks.

Appreciate it guys. Looks like a college town. Quiet right now due to students being gone for break.

Oh, it is just like that even when school is in session.

You would have to be there on a Thursday night to see the college action.

Fork 'em.

Folks, this is saying a lot when Ruston gets the nod over Natchitoches. Hell, Ruston didn't even have a friggin theater for decades. LOL

When I transferred in 2011 Ruston had a Chase bank and 3G phone service. Both of which were lacking in Natchitoches at the time. In fact, they still don't have a Chase.

Sure they did. Where the Walmart is now on California, there used to be a strip mall that included a KB Drugstore and a movie theater

Damn. Back when I was in college Natch had a Bank 1 (which is now Chase).

3G doesn't surprise me.
