You will.

When the sweetest, brightest, kindest kid in your family has a car accident, has a spinal injury, is treated with opioids, gets hooked, then OD's. You will, Slick... you will.

Here's one of thousands who died of an overdose in Ohio last year. Her name was Amy. From the website "Hope over Heroin" that posts phots of as many Ohio victims as they can.

It’s killing off a whole generation of people. I personally know prob about 200+ or so that have died in the past couple years. (Granted I work in the field) but it’s still a staggering number.

Yeah like someone said until
It effects someone you love. And the way we are trending, it eventually will. Most people I know hve been touched in some form by addiction.

But Kratom can cause psychosis and hallucinations - which can cause you to find yourself PEC’d to a psych facility...

One builds a tolerance for Kratom much quicker than the opioids. It works for pain but the high just isn’t there after a few days. It will make you puke if you take too much. It’s all ground leaves in capsules, and the stomach can only take so much.

My,mother was an addict and she died in severe pain because the hospital couldn't give her enough. My sister has been a drug addict for over 20 years. It wouldn't be a loss if she died. Even she will tell you that.

It's not any one thing that caused this (doctors, addicts,DEA,Big Pharma), but a plethora of issues combined.

For one, we are raising a generation of absolute pussy's. I have seen patients in an ER for a hang-nail. The generation from world war II are some of the toughest people on the planet. Little old ladies from that era are the toughest people I have ever seen. As a parent we don't want to see our kids hurt, but every time they fart and it smells funny, is not a reason to take your kids to the doctor. Kids have been conditioned to take a pill to remedy what ever their problems are. I'm depressed, take a pill, I can't focus take a pill, I cant shite, take a pill, I suck as an athlete in PE and can't deal with it, take a pill.

So to go back to the issue at hand, it's not the doctors, or Big Pharma, or the individual, or society's fault. It is everything and everyone involved in this process.

The crackdown on prescription opioids drove the addicted straight to heroin and fentanyl, and yes, it was pointed out at the time that this would be the result

this is so true. I'm no drug addict and never have been. As an alcoholic, I've heard and seen many things in rehab and in AA, NA, CA, HA, ect. A lot got hooked on opioids, then went straight to meth or herion when they couldn't find it

I've looked many men and women, 100s and probably into the 1000s, in the eyes that said they're going to kick this shite. Their thing is a drug, mine is a bottle and it very rarely works. Sending someone off to rehab seems like the logical reaction, it's less than 10% effective. It works for a few but long term sobriety is considered at only 18 months. Granted, I haven't been sober longer than a little over 40 days in a decade of drinking. I'm no martyr, the shite is real. It's bad and it's getting worse. People saying they are all trash is complete shite, addiction doesn't discriminate

Every one of those deaths were someone’s son, daughter, mom, dad, etc. So, yeah. Someone somewhere is devastated because someone they love died from drug use.

I'm not unsympathetic, but there is a solution for this. Stop taking drugs, get the help you need.

Most don't want that, so this is what happens.
