when my relatives shifted from dialup to high speed internet, they didn't want to change e-mail addresses...I set up their .aol account to use over high speed ISP and they still use it just fine.

My Verizon email account now runs through AOL (though I have a Verizon.net address).

I have an AOL email that is a remnant from 2000, but I can't remember the password. I still send activist organizations "strongly worded" emails from time to time with that email knowing full well I will never see their replies.

If people want to have one whatever, although they are missing out on gmail which is way better, but the people who still actually pay for them are the real retards since they became free A LONG time ago. AOL still bills a couple million people $20 a month for them because the people don't know they can call and cancel the charge and get it free.

And the IM service. Wasn't anything for strangers to hit people up on messenger.

I never had AOL but I had hotmail. For obvious reasons, I have a personal gmail (first.last@gmail.com) and my work email.

Political campaigns pay lots of money to obtain AOL email addresses.

My mom still uses the AOL client, and refuses to try anything else.
It looks pretty much exactly the same as it did 15 years ago. It's like a time capsule.

I have to confess I still use AOL mail. My children want me to use the gmail account I have but it works fine and I have had it for 20 years. Whenever I give it out to someone I just say yeah I am an old fart. Usually gets a good laugh which I know they are doing anyway

How do you send the email if you can't remember your password?
