The whole point of this thread is that an American white male is claiming victimhood status, that whites are being targeted. I'm simply pointing out the stunning hypocrisy of it all anecdotally.

Secondly, your whole diatribe has been about how blacks are being targeted disproportionately to whites...ignoring the fact that they commit the majority of the crimes. Then it’s about how blacks haven’t been given the right opportunities to succeed.

Some where I heard I wasn't supposed to be judged by the color of my skin. I wish some people would learn that. Our country has done some stupid stuff, but that doesn't mean we should now be biased against white folk. We are making the same mistakes as in the past. So making white folk sit in the back of the bus will make it better or make up for the past?????? Was it right back then? NO. Is it right today? NO.

Do you honestly believe the young black men are committing the most crime and being shitty fathers because of shite that happened over 50 years ago?

I ain’t reading the whole thread so this sentiment may have already been posted....

A good percentage of poor whites are treated poorly in our country and that is never a headline. They get denied healthcare, social services, property rights and quality education. They get followed while shopping and profiled by police. In a great deal of these instances the be bias in the treatment of the poor much more of a factor than race.

Having said that, I won’t deny that I’ve had a leg up in life over many people. However, I don’t feel guilty because my parents made smart decisions in their lives which helped make it easier on me. They began in the housing projects and worked and saved their arse off until they made something of themselves. In turn, my life was easier.

Until those of us who’ve had a leg up in life can impart the importance of fiscal responsibility, quality marriages, education, and good social decisions (all except education are personal choices) on others who don’t have that knowledge, then we as a society will continue to regress while we all point fingers at the other guy.

It’s okay to be white. It’s not okay as a white man to continue to let society devolve on your watch. The causes of the devolution don’t matter nearly as much as either whites or blacks want to think. All that matters are solutions to our problems as a society. I’m not talking reparations, I’m talking life skills that lead to success.

Family stories like yours are not the problem.

To be blunt, I'm willing to bet that the majority Anglo Saxon races in this country did not directly abuse other minorities.

It has always been a particular faction of whites in positions of authority that caused the "systemic racism".

We can agree to disagree, but Blacks faces much more vitriolic forms of discrimination. It was always an urgency to keep a permanent underclass. This isn't exclusive to the US. In order achieve a level of prosperity, a civilization typically needs some form of stable underclass.

As for the WWII, I thank your family for its service. But also please keep in mind that Blacks have served in every campaign of the US history (even West Point will back this up)
