That’s why they lost the lawsuit.

I sound like someone that doesn’t want coffee that’s a touch below boiling. It’s not even drinkable at that temp.

Long story short, a manager of mine was harassing an employee by calling him a gift from god while mocking his religion. When I was made aware, I fired him instantly.

If he is being represented by an attorney and that attorney is taking it on contingency, then its going to cost you something. No attorney is going to take a case unless he sees himself getting something out of it. Your best bet is to settle now, which is probably what your former employee and his attorney are looking for.

This. This right here is why I come here.

1. None of this is true. If it were, you wouldn't be posting about it.

2. The manager and not the employee who was harassed is suing you? Then that manager has texts and evidence that you knew he was doing wrong and didn't care.

Did you also send things could be considered racist or making fun of the employee's religion. It's a shakedown, no doubt, but you knew that already.

Sorry you didn't get rid of him earlier, but you will learn this lesson through your pocket book.

I’m not going to explain the trial to you. Read it.

I don't agree with managers actions but why fire him? "Write" him up to protect your self. Firing someone just because they said something to offend someone is getting out of hand. You are creating more problems.
