I’m sure if a border state legalized, they’d be stopping cars left and right. Back the blue.

Let's make a list of legal things that have caused more pain and suffering than marijuana:

Alcohol
Cigarettes
Water
Scissors
Cars
Nails
BBQ grills
Knives
Guns
Tractors
Sugar
The Sun
Lawn mowers
Matches
Trees
Bleach
...

We should be close to that mythical point of no return where fedgov finally gets their collective heads out their asses and legalizes federally. But I'll still believe it when I see it.

Metroplis, IL is a quick 2 hour drive from Nashville.

And they have a golf and casino resort.

hope so, but I doubt it. there is still a very large religious, conservative portion of the population that lives outside of Asheville and the Triangle that will fight this tooth and nail.

Marijuana being legal will put a major dent in cartel profits, reduce crime, and likely reduce both marijuana usage AND ALL DRUG USAGE in the long term.

I'm not against legalizing it, but this isn't what's happening. The cartel is moving heroin and other drugs more now. They're not just going to shut down because the US legalizes MJ.

This is true.

They have already shifted big time to opiates and meth. They grow massive poppy fields in Mexico now. Actually makes heroin that comes out a different color than traditional Afghan.

And we aren't legalizing heroin or meth anytime soon.
