My mother in law is awful, but at least the brother in law isn’t coming.
Will be a long 3-4 days with her alone. Will likely drink heavily and see friends in town often.

We are still considered "the kids" so we don't ever have to host family events beyond crawfish boils. This thread makes me very happy for that.
We are the sole couple who hosts our friends all the time, and we throw a much larger NYE party, but that's nothing. Friends are chosen, family isn't.

Luckily only my mom is staying with us and everyone else lives in town.
Still need to get the grocery shopping done and the house cleaned, but I think we only will have 12 people so it shouldn't be too bad to prepare for. At least all the gifts are wrapped and ready to go.
