Not only did one of the teacher's record the fight (rather than break it up), some kid in the class was the one who went over the break up the fight.
Teachers ought to be charged criminally.

If you send your kid to public school in EBR, you don’t care about them.

my mother was a school teacher, she loved to tell the story of a fight in her class involving the preacher's(of our church,) kid and another boy in the class, she taught third grade, she said the preacher's kid loved to fight but she could tell that he would always knew that she'd beak it up before too long, one day the two young baws got into it in the cafeteria and my mom just let them go, another teacher asked wasn't she going to stop it? my mom said no, I want to see what happens when he sees I'm not going to bail him out, the fight went on for a couple of minutes, maybe a welp or two, no one was hurt, the two kids became best friends, preacher's kid is a heart surgeon in Shreveport

Most kids are graduating at 17. This motherf*cker is a freshman. I’m guessing that the third grade was the three best years of this thug’s life.
Well, not to make excuses for the kids age at that level of the education system, but the story says he was in a wheelchair.
Perhaps he has a congenital birth defect, got into a serious accident and needed a long time to recover and school was not an option, so now he's playing catch-up.
I agree it's never a good idea to bring a weapon to school and he should face any consequences he is in for, but there may be extenuating circumstances as to why he's in 9th grade at that age and it may have nothing to do with "thug life". Unless the fricker got put in a wheelchair being shot and crippled--------------but we don't know that.

I think this dude actually means well and wants to clean up this mess, but it's a large hill to climb.
It’s a shame. Education is pretty hopeless for 9/10 public school students in EBR. The influences at home make sure of that. Hats off to the folks who show up to work every day for the sake of the ~10% of kids with a chance.
