I’d stand in front of a mirror and look at myself naked.

Where are you going to raise minimum $100,000 as a freshman in High school.

A bake sale? Your parents?

I'd master the D.E.N.N.I.S system.

Assuming you know ahead of time that you'll be traveling back it would be pretty easy.

Well I was referring to the Apple almost going under part.

I didn't realize an IPO required $100K investment but I'm sure I could get creative, legal or not.

Pretty simple.. would put more energy into high school and college studying finance.. would use my knowledge of potential future companies and technology to start a hedge/equity firm and ride that out till the 08 bust.. rinse and repeat through our current time.. would buy shite tons of land and retire at 40.. maybe by a few sports franchises along the way

No. This is obviously a sudden thing.

You are going to have a hard time getting rich, investing with the money you made from your high school job.

In what world does someone get a heads up, before they are warped into their high school body, back in time?

In what world are people warped back to their high school body at all? If you would like to insert arbitrary rules into your completely impossible scenario just write them in the OP.

If I knew I had a year before this magical warp ended, I would do whatever it took to get a sizeable chunk of money to invest.

If I couldn't convince my family to put the money up, I'd start robbing old ladies and ATMs.

Do you really think I'd go back in time with future knowledge and not know how to make millions?

Dog/Horse track bets? Football games? The many avenues of quick money to throw on stock are endless.

I'm pretty sure my dad would realize I'm some sort of time traveler when I've picked the winning lottery numbers like 3 weeks in a row.

How would you know the lottery numbers?

Oil market in early 80's. Buy until oil hits 30. Sell and short till 6.

Same idea in 87 with the US stock market and later with the Japan market.

Play the oil market before and during the first Iraq war.

And so on. Build the nest egg until the big bets on dotcom, 2008 crash and so on.

How would you build capital to make these investments?

I just don't understand how being transported without warning is the more realistic option. If I were somehow able to warp around time and space the use of some sort of device seems more probable and I would likely be aware of it.
