Death rates can absolutely be decreased for specified factors, like cancer or gunshots.

I think the unintended consequences of eliminating school sports will be interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an increase in drop outs, teen pregnancy, drug use and nuisance crime. Especially if school is online.
