i did see where one owner had put "owner is black" on one side of his building and it wasn't touched. on the other side, he didn't and it was destroyed. i'm referring to the entrance doors and windows. you might be right.

Shooting someone for throwing bricks at your business and setting it on fire is not self defense. As much as I disagree with it their fricked up laws, its the law
Only time you can use lethal force in MN to defend property is when it's in your house and you're preventing a felony.
Breaking and entering is not a felony

Yeah so if someone is lighting your business on fire and you are in the proximity, seems reasonable to assume you are in danger of bodily harm and can open fire after reading that.

And by your interpretation of the law, you'd be sitting right next to the MN store owner in jail. You can't kill someone just for breaking into your store in MN. You can fight them off but until they pull out a gun, you can't
The thing with their self defense laws is it has to be "reasonable force." So unless they're trying to physically set you on fire, fhe use of deadly force is not justifiable.
Plus prosecution always has the upper hand in pointing out that you had a duty to escape anf you decided not to.
