RE: Notice of Interim Meeting
The members of the House Committee on Health and Welfare, chaired by Rep. Lawrence "Larry" Bagley, will meet as follows:

In accordance with R.S. 49:968(D)(2), oversight hearing on the administrative rule proposed by the Louisiana Department of Health to amend the state immunization schedule provided for in LAC 51:II.701 to add COVID-19 vaccines to the list of vaccinations required for school and child day care entry
Persons who do not feel comfortable giving testimony in person at this time may submit a prepared statement in lieu of appearing before the committee:
A. Any interested person or any committee member may file with the committee a prepared statement concerning a specific instrument or matter under consideration by the committee or concerning any matter within the committee's scope of authority, and the committee records shall reflect receipt of such statement and the date and time thereof.
B. Any person who files a prepared statement which contains data or statistical information shall include in such prepared statement sufficient information to identify the source of the data or statistical information. For the purposes of this
Paragraph, the term "source" shall mean a publication, website, person, or other source from which the data or statistical information contained in the prepared statement was obtained by the person or persons who prepared the statement.
NOTE: Statements emailed to h-hw@legis.la.gov and received prior to noon on Friday, December 3, 2021, will be distributed to the committee members prior to the meeting.
All persons desiring to participate in the meeting shall utilize appropriate protective health measures and observe the recommended and appropriate social distancing.

They are gonna poke the bear one too many times and it’s gonna wake up
Don’t Poke the Bear
In the forest,
In a cave,
Lived a bear,
Fearsome and brave,
Until Lord and craven knave,
To destroy him, hatched a plot,
They were warned
“Don’t poke the bear”
He slumbers deep,
Within his lair,
Don’t rouse him,
From his snoring there,
But again they would listen not,
With pointed stick,
And heavy rod,
Into his sanctum,
Slowly trod,
Then with a swift,
And deadly prod,
They thrust with everything they’d got,
Then suddenly,
He ceased his snores,
Rose up and,
With a fury roared,
Though bloody from
the hole they gored,
Away their spears he swat,
They tried to keep,
His paws at bay,
Some dropped their arms,
And ran away,
He charged into,
The deadly fray,
And vengeance now, He sought,
Eyes now from,
the forest watched,
As flaming arrows,
Then were notched,
The hawk between,
A branches crotch,
Cried out as forth they shot,
Into the beast,
Their shafts now pierced,
But still he roared,
Defiant, fierce,
It echoed, reaching
Distant ears,
Fur burning, bright and hot,
His mighty paws,
With rancor slashed,
And through the flames,
His visage flashed,
As spears and blades,
Opened a gash,
And blood poured from the spot,
Aflame and flagging,
Cornered, pinned,
He stumbled,
And then roared again,
Breathing ragged,
Bleeding skin,
The end, or so they thought,
He fell,
And then his mighty roar,
Was silent,
And he moved no more,
and of their vic’try,
They were sure,
A cry rose from the lot,
But their cheers,
would quickly die,
As those that slept,
Opened an eye,
And from the forest,
Rose a cry,
Witnesses to the battle fought,
Beast and bird,
Lynx, stag and owl,
Packs of wolves,
Let forth a howl,
And from the dark,
Came caw and growl,
Rest assured,
The forest heard,
Asleep, they’re not.

LoL. It doesn't make you responsible. Hopefully you make an educated decision with the data in front of you, but you should probably know the risks of Covid to your child as well as the risks of side effects from vaccination. The risks of Covid to your child assuming no underlying health issues or comorbidities is statistically insignificant.

Share the data then. If you feel the need to vaccinate your child for something with a .005% mortality rate, go for it. However, you implying that it's the "responsible" decision is bull shite. People that choose not to vaccinate their children are not irresponsible.
